Service Monitoring
Service Monitoring is a versatile feature within CCC that provides administrators with valuable insights into the performance, resource utilization, and security of their cryptographic operations. By leveraging Service Monitoring, administrators can make informed decisions to optimize their systems and ensure smooth operation. Here's how to use Service Monitoring:
To access the Service Monitoring feature, you'll need to upgrade your application license to include monitoring capabilities.
Access Service Monitoring:
-
Click on the Monitoring & Reports tab in the top menu bar.
-
Choose Service Monitoring from the left-hand navigation pane.
-
Look through the table listing all services available for monitoring. Pay attention to their names, statuses, organizations, and associated partitions. Note the column on the far right, which displays the average operations per second since the last poll. This provides insights into recent activity levels for each service.
By default, the polling frequency is set to every 60 seconds.
Select a service to monitor:
-
Click on any service from the list to begin monitoring its performance.
-
Scroll down to explore detailed monitoring information for the selected service.
Select partitions to monitor:
-
Examine the partition-specific cards, which offer insights into the partitions associated with the selected service.
-
Use the Include in service data button positioned at the bottom of each card to choose the partitions you want to monitor.
View service data
-
Scroll down to the Service Data section, where you'll find monitoring information for the selected partitions under the Operations and Client Connections tabs.
-
Click the Operations tab to view a pie chart illustrating the total service operations for the past 90 days. You can also customize a line graph to display the frequency of operations (per second, per minute, per hour, or per day), the type of operations (all operations or specific operations), and the duration of operation (last hour, today, yesterday, last 3 days, last 7 days, last 30 days, or last 90 days).
-
Click the Client Connections tab to view the details of network connections between clients and selected partitions, including IP addresses, connection states, network protocols, and specific partitions involved in the connections.
Customize notifications
-
Scroll down to the the Custom Notifications section that enables you to customize notifications for this service.
-
You can adjust settings related to the moving average, fluctuations in the count of crypto operations, and persistent changes in the count of crypto operations.
Enabling custom notifications will override global settings for this service, allowing you to tailor alerts to your specific needs and preferences.
